Middlesex Borough Recognized as 2025 Rookie of the Year by Sustainable Jersey

Middlesex Borough, NJ–Middlesex Borough has been honored with the 2025 Rookie of the Year Award from Sustainable Jersey, recognizing the Borough’s outstanding debut in the statewide sustainability certification program.

This marks Middlesex Borough’s first year achieving certification, earning an impressive 245 points for implementing a range of actions that advance sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community engagement.

“Middlesex Borough is honored to be the 2025 recipient of the Sustainable Jersey Rookie of the Year Award,” said Jack Mikolajczyk the Middlesex Borough Mayor. “The tireless efforts of our Environmental Commission and Green Team, supported where possible by our staff, have been amazing in terms of moving these initiatives forward. Their ability to create innovative programs, educate, encourage volunteerism and achieve results are a real testament to these dedicated members of the team. I'm excited to see what's in store for 2026!"
