Proclamation: James Benson Honored as Pillar

Mayor Mikolajczyk, on behalf of the Governing Body, proudly recognized James Benson as a Pillar of the Community. James Benson was appointed as a member of the Middlesex Library Board of Trustees over 42 years ago, in addition to volunteering his time as a member of the 100th Anniversary Committee, volunteer of the Rescue Squad from 1969-1973, and member of the Community Education Advisory Board from 2020-2022. James was a vital member of the Emergency Services Unit Commanders Committee for 15 years, Middlesex Ethics Board member for 4 years and Economic Development Committee for 4 years.

James not only served the Community through his activities on various Committees and Boards, but also spent his time helping shape the future members of the Community in conjunction with the Recreation Center by coaching girls softball from 1992-1996.

The Borough of Middlesex extends our deepest gratitude to James Benson for all of his dedication, sacrifice and labor to our community.
