100th Anniversary of Black History Month

Mayor Jack Mikolajczyk and the Borough of Middlesex are proud to join the country in celebrating and recognizing Black History Month, a century since it was first established by Carter G. Woodson in 1926.

The 2026 national theme is "A Century of Black History Commemorations," honoring 100 years of recognizing the achievements and contributions of Black Americans, and their place in American history.
