Every month from April through October, the Middlesex Beautification Committee accepts nominations for Homes of the Month. April through September the homes are selected for landscaping and floral displays in front yards. October homes are selected for Halloween/ Fall décor. Then in December, homes are selected for the best holiday displays. Homeowners may nominate themselves or be nominated by others. Nominations may be made by e-mail or mail. Email nominations should be sent to pamtee@verizon.net. Mail nominations should be sent to: Beautification Committee, Borough of Middlesex, 1200 Mountain Avenue, Middlesex, NJ 08846. Please include the address of the nominated home, a description of exactly where the house is (example, 3rd house from corner), and the nominator’s phone number. The committee reviews the nominations by going to the homes and once the homes, five per month, are selected, a letter is sent to the homeowner advising them of the selection. The homeowner must then contact the co-chair of the program to verify he/she wants to have a sign posted in front of the selected home. We encourage neighbors to nominate homes! Look for our signs and congratulations to this month’s winner.
